The expression IRXN is an rather old Bavarian one and stands for Power and Energy – and experience IRXN is like refuel elementary power. This outfit of exceptional musicians amazes with an unheard mix of genres in it's songs. Brilliant, unabashed and refreshingly natural they arrange elements of Folk, Mediaeval, Rock, Classical Music, Punk, Gipsy and Chamber Music. And their Celtic-Bavarian roots are sparkling.

Initiated by Markus Traurig and Reinhold Alsheimer (they knew each other very well from their former Band 'D'Oxnhex') IRXN was founded in spring 2006.
Since that time IRXN inspired many fans with terrific shows at festivals and in clubs. They produced two albums as well as two singles and placed their songs on various samplers.

The IRXN musicians are:
• German out of the Bohemian Bavaria: Voice, Violine
• Peter, native Upper Bavarian: Tuba, E-Bass, Contrabass
• Markus out of the Bavarian Forest: Drums, Voice, Cajón
• the Frankonian-Bavarian Celt Reinhold: E-Guitar, Acoustik-Guitar
• born in Munich is Berni: Voice, Acoustik-Guitar

IRXN are obstreperous, impulsive, mystic and enchant with their sensibility. Winking they tell stories about life with light and shadow, yearning and dreaming. The ballads raise out of deep feelings, brought onto stage by those five guys. But also danceable, grooving, absurd and brute tunes are part of their shows.
