IRXN now on Celtic Radio

23. November: Both IRXN-Longplayer 'Wolfspfad' and 'Vogelfrei' has made it into the rotation at Celtic Radio (including Highlander Radio!). IRXN is one of a very few bands that achoeved that not being origined in the 'mainlands' of Celtic culture. We're quite happy about that fact and encourage everyone to vote for / request one of our songs from either 'Wolfspfad' or 'Vogelfrei'.

21. November: Kicked-off in the Saturn-shops is the new compilation 'Alpenpower BAYERN'. Together with Saturn in Munich, the Donnerwetter Musik GmbH has released a CD that presents the actual Bavarian-Idiom-Music-Scene 2010. IRXN has provided the title 'Flügelkuss' from our actual release 'Vogelfrei' and find ourselfs together with mighty heroes of the scene like Claudia Koreck, Bürgermeista, Haindling, Willy Astor and many more.

08. November: IRXN live @ Florian Söllners 'Blaue Stunde' on Radio-Z. With a lot of fun we were playing unplugged (one song together with Florian) and did a lot of talking about our plans.

25. October: IRXNs Sub-Site was expanded with a mediapage, where you can find new pics as well as newest videos. Das kalifornische Web-Portal hat sich voll und ganz dem Keltentum verschrieben. 22. September: Sylvia Frei guided us - really competent - through an hour live where we really had fun. We performed unplugged 'Wuiderer' in small cast as Berni was on tour in Scotland, and raffled off free entrance for the tour-stop at Huglfing, T-Shirts and CDs (of course the new 'Vogelfrei') at the next day's 'Morning-Show'

'Zigano' most requested song on IRFT Celtic Radio'

29. July: IRXN's 'Zigano' from the album 'Wolfspfad' championed on IRFT Celtic Radio (USA) the recent week in the most requested - charts. Once a week - every thursday - there's a dedicated show around the top20. With 'Pyromanien' (#2), 'IRXN' (#15) and 'Wuiderer' (#18) we were able to place songs from both our albums 'Wolfsfad' and 'Vogelfrei' which will be released in September.

IRFT - an US-Radio Portal (based in California) fully dedicates to celtic musik and provides special shows covering dedicated topics besides the 24/7 streaming. Started in July there is a live-show as well with Josh Bronson in Maine where the Bavarian band IRXN was introduced inside the Celtic Universe!

IRXN on Radio Goethe in the US and globally

RADIO GOETHE was founded in November of 1996 to present a vibrant, dynamic and interesting German music scene to listeners abroad. The show airs live (with a stream) in San Francisco on KUSF on Thursday nights 8:30pm - 10:00pm PST and is also syndicated on dozens of stations mostly in the US and Canada, but also in the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Denmark, Switzerland and Germany. 'BY-on': IRXN staatlich gefördert

"BY on" is an official Bavarian Support Project for top-acts residing in Bavaria, which gets budget from the Bavarian Government and was initially started by media like Bayrischer Rundfunk or PPV-publishing, as well as professionals from music labels and hosts. As band you cannot apply for being supported, you are proposed and selected! Proposals usually are made by AR-Managers, Event-Managers in the scene, Booker, as they have an indepth scene-view and know who is eligible for being supported in that way.
For the Music-Business coaching the famous band Schandmaul was providing various insights, the media-part has been covered by Bayerischer Rundfunk and Süddeutsche Zeitung.

Media-Partner are: Bayerische Rundfunk (Bayern3 / on3-radio / on3-startrampe / on3-südwild) and PPV Verlag (Soundcheck, guitar, keys, recording).

Erste Impressionen der 'Vogelfrei 2010' -Tour

IRXNs 2010-Tour started on the Festival der Vielfalt in Waldmünchen (Festival of Diversity - unplugged!) and went on in Traunreut (with complete backline!) on the Mundartfestival (Festival of Dialect). Meanwhile we've been celebrating also in München (Klangfest), Wien (Vienna Folk Festival) and Regen (Drumherum) ... and this was only the beginning - IRXN on Vogelfrei-Tour ;-)

'Stehaufmandl' on Klangfest 2010-Compilation (VUT)

IRXN presents 'Stehaufmandl' from our upcoming album 'Vogelfrei' on the Compilation: Klangfest 2010. The Munich Music Scene will celebrate a festival on 22nd of May in the Munich Gasteig: From Rock, Pop, Reggae to Worldmusic and Jazz, including Music-Cabaret and Bavarian Folk - the whole creativity and variety of the vibrant Munich Music Scene will be sensible. The CD with all top-artists of that event is available NOW.

IRXN was recording a session for the Regional Fernsehen Oberbayern (Regional Broadcast Upper Bavaria)at 14.05. in Rosenheim with Silvia Stock . Besides 4 songs from teh album Wolfspfad we've been recording numerous interview bricks with every single musician ... a first broadcast can be viewed at the RFO Mediathek.

IRXN has spend quite a bit time in creating a solid accoustic-program. This will be celebrated various times during the 'Vogelfrei'-Tour ... IRXN without effects and distortion - purely power! IRXN was doing a first professional video-shooting recently for 'Vogelfrei' which will be released soon. A full day od sun, inspiration, fun and really great ideas in a part of Upper Bavaria which is called picturesque fo a reason - in prefessional manner ... the result will be uploaded to youtube soon.

'AUSREISSER' now calls 'VOGELFREI'

After nights of discussion we agreed to call the new album 'Vogelfrei' (Ostracized ) instead of the used working title 'Ausreisser' (Runaway). We feel that this fits far better the lyrics and the songs in there - typical artist discussion :-)
The new album now will be finalized for distribution asap.

'Löwenblut ... ist blaues Blut' on myspace of TSV 1860 München

IRXNs powerful hommage to the Löwen (Lions) is now also uploaded to the official myspace of TSV 1860 München. Besides the song the respective video is also available there. In hope to see 'Em back in the first league soon :-)

09. Aug.: IRXNs Hommage to the blue Lions was played at the first home match of the new season '... wo mia san da is oben, mia spuin eich an die wand ...' was the melodic supoport to win the match against the team from Koblenz.

IRXN places two songs in the download top-ten of Soundgarage

09. Aug.: Both the songs 'A Tropfa' (#4) and 'D'Liabe' (#6) entered the top-ten of Antenne Bayern Soundgarage. The famous Broadcasting Station provides this platform for bands not(yet) under major-label contract - IRXN is delight that our songs are well-accepted and downloaded in a significant figure.

This all and more we found, the three days at the biggest (!) Folk-Roots-World festival on earth, with more than 1000 artists from 30 nations ... and it was enriching to enjoy two really great shows there in front of a great audience. The openness for the 'new' and the enthusiasm for the 'different' was both challenging and inciting. The deep dive into the inimitable width of world-music presented there definitely is an experience - for both artists and audience.
